Computers for the Blind (CFTB) is celebrating the rising BVI generation this year, and the impact they will have on our future! As part of this, CFTB is giving away laptops to High School Seniors in Texas that are graduating in 2025 as part of its mission to make technology available to those with visual impairments.
We want to know how access to technology changes your life and allows you to be successful in your school and personal pursuits. To enter the giveaway, submit your responses to this, as well a few other prompts through our entry form, and entries will be judged based on the creativity and details of the submissions. This contest is open to all Texas High School Seniors, who have a Visual Impairment, graduating at the end of the 24-25 school year. The answers may be also submitted by a teacher, a parent, or a guardian on behalf of the student. Entries will be accepted from March 17th, 2025 until April 30, 2025, and winners will be notified by May 15, 2025.
To enter the giveaway, please go to the Google Form at this link and submit answers to the provided prompts. You can also request an Entry Form in the form of an email or paper copy by calling us at (214) 340-6328 or emailing info@computersfortheblind.org. All entries must be submitted by April 30, 2025 to be eligible for determination.
Giveaway Prize Information
25 students will be awarded the grand prize.
The grand prize consists of a Laptop with the following configuration:
- 8GB RAM
- 256GB SSD
- 14″ Screen
- Windows 11 Pro
- 1-Year free of the JAWS, ZoomText, or Fusion Home-Annual License
- Access to our JAWS training class.
Winners will be notified between May 6th and 15th, and prizes will be shipped by May 31st.
Additional Rules
- Eligible to High School students in Texas, graduating in Spring 2025, with a Visual Impairment.
- Must submit answers to provided prompts to be determined for a prize. Can also be submitted by teacher or parent/guardian.
